And with the new Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution coming around this month, avid gamers have something to be excited about. This wildly popular world conquering strategy game is coming into the latest gaming consoles.

Yes, Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution is being released in its gaming console version that can be played on the Playstation 3, Nintendo DS and the Xbox 360. The gaming console version of the popular game is being redesigned into an interface that perfectly blends well the popular gaming consoles and hand held systems.

With PC and gaming consoles having different means of control and keys, the game had to be designed and built from the ground up in order to deliver graphics, game play and control more suitable for such gaming platforms. And with Civilization Revolution now invading the world of gaming consoles and handhelds, gamers really have something to look forward to.

Give them the Didj, the latest handheld device from Leapfrog Nintendo DS. At least with this gadget, you will know what they are toying at.

Created for kids aged six to ten years old, it has educational games that will help hone your child's learning abilities. With games that can be customized into spelling bees and math tests, kids can enjoy such games asStar Wars: The Clone Wars and even the box-office film from Disney, WALL E. As there is a difficulty mode, kids can adjust the game difficulty so they get to experience challenging games and even enhance their skills.

Designed ergonomically to accommodate small hands, the Didj has been built with these specifications: 3.2 inch LCD with 320x 240 high resolution graphics display and 16.7 million color TFT, a 393 MHz processor, a 64MB media cartridge, and 256MB data storage.

This kiddie gizmo will be available in 2008, this summer, with a suggested retail price of $89.99. Its software will contain nine games for the kids to choose or learn from, each with a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Call that a GameBoy plus learning in one whole package. This is just what your child needs.

To make their second coming even sweeter, they've come together as one.

That is, you'll be able to play NES and SNES games in one super cool gaming system: the Retro Duo NES/SNES.

The Retro Duo comes with two top loading cartridge slots (one for each), it also comes with the standard pair of SNES controllers. Some gadget sites suggest plugging in your old pair of SNES controllers for a full-on retro effect, enough to satisfy the most nostalgic of gamers.

On the downside though, it does not come with built-in games or cartridges, so you're going to have to retrieve your old stock from the attic or basement. If you already disposed of your old ones (shame on you!) try Dkoldies.com.
